It has so many built in adjustment options and pre-made profiles that make it super easy to fine-tune the inversion to achieve the look you want with as little effort as possible.

Negative Lab Pro: I was very pleased with how easy Negative Lab Pro is to use, as well as how powerful this tool is. To me, I felt SilverFast provided the least pleasing results with the images I shot on Ektar, which appear a bit muddy and a little too contrasty compared to the results for these same images from the other methods. Otherwise, I did not have to do too much editing beyond some minor levels adjustments. I did find all the inversions to lean toward the cool side, thus requiring me to apply a global color correction to every image to add some warmth (which I prefer).
Silverfast 8 SE: I was pleasantly surprised at how well NegaFix did with inverting the majority of the images here. Also, most of the images appeared to have more contrast applied to them than I tended to prefer/apply when editing the images myself. Overall, the images tend to have a warmer color cast. Lab scans: For the purposes of this comparison, I will treat the lab scans as the "reference" scans, since they were performed by the lab and not by myself.
